Matt Bouldin (16), Josh Heytvelt (15), Micah Downs (12), Steven Gray (10) and Jeremy Pargo (10) all shot for double figures in Gonzaga's 80-70 victory Saturday against San Diego at McCarthey Athletic Center. The Bulldogs (14-4, 3-0) came out of the gates on a 15-0 run and never looked back to win their fourth straight and third in the WCC.
San Diego's Brandon Johnson held the game-high 26 points and went for seven steals, but all to no avail as Gonzaga proved to much for ex-assistant Zag coach Bill Grier (now head coach at USD), who spent 16 seasons in Spokane.
Gonzaga will be at home on the 22nd against Eddie Sutton and San Francisco. Sutton is in pursuit of his 800th victory.
